Starting Local IAF Chapters - Ideas & Experiences?

Dear colleagues,

In the August 2008 US-Newsletter, a case was made for creating local IAF Chapters. At the North American conference in April 08, I connected with a few folks in the greater New York City area and we talked about this idea as well.

I think organic growth is a good thing - and more people need to know about professional support for facilitation! I would welcome any thoughts, ideas, experience and inspiration on the topic of starting local chapters.

I tried to view/post this in the Members Area, but when I click on that link, I just see a "Ground Rules" thread... when I attempted to post, I got a message saying I was not able to do so...

Have you applied to join the members forum? I don't see you listed as a member. If you are a paid member of the IAF, you need to select the “Join Group” button to request that you be added to the Members Section of the IAF Forum. We will check your membership status and give you member privileges to add Events to the calendar, view Job Opportunities, and join in the “Members Issues and Ideas” discussion group.
