Does anyone have a short synopsis about "Open Space"? I know so little about it and would like a bit more information. Thanks.

Years ago I attended an Open Space session at Bank of America. It was quite wonderful. It enabled the entire IT department to identify topics and issues they cared about and create self-managing teams to address them. After that experience, I attended a workshop by Harrison Owen - the founder of Open Space. I haven't had an opportunity to use it myself, but have always been a proponent.

Check out their website for more info...http://www.openspaceworld.org/cgi/wiki.cgi

Hi Tammy,

Thanks - I checked out the website - it looks interesting, especially for a very large group of people.

Hi Gary and all,

As usual, the Wikipedia has a a good summary entry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Space_Technology

Open Space World is probably the hub of all things Open Space.

There is a pretty lively Open Space List Serv at http://www.openspaceworld.org/cgi/wiki.cgi?EmailDiscussionGroups and this page links to non English pages.

Regards from a sunny Hungary, Andi Roberts
